RIDGID 300 Replacement Parts Guide: What Wears Out & What Fits

The RIDGID® 300 is the workhorse pipe threading machine on countless jobsites — and after years of daily threading, the same handful of parts wear out first. This guide walks through the most commonly replaced RIDGID 300 parts, what symptoms to look for, and the exact aftermarket replacement for each, so you can get your machine back to threading without paying OEM prices or waiting weeks for backordered parts.

Electrical parts: the most common failures

Motor brushes. If your 300 is sparking heavily at the motor, losing power under load, or cutting out intermittently, worn carbon brushes are the first thing to check. The 44540 motor brush replacement (fits 87740) works on both the RIDGID 300 and 535.

Armature. If new brushes don't cure the sparking, or the motor hums without turning, the armature itself may be worn or shorted. The 44010 armature for RIDGID 300/535 115V motors is the direct replacement.

FWD/REV switch. A machine that only runs one direction, or needs the switch jiggled to start, usually needs the 44505 E1417 forward/reverse switch.

Foot pedal. Pedals take a beating on the floor. Replace a dead or intermittent pedal with the 36642 foot pedal switch (300, 535, 1822, 1224) — or if the pedal works but the machine doesn't respond, the internal 36762 micro switch is the cheaper fix.

Chuck and centering parts

Pipe slipping in the chuck ruins threads and is dangerous. Worn jaw inserts are the usual cause:

Oiling and support

Dry threading destroys dies fast. If your oiler bucket is cracked or missing, the 418 oiler oil bucket (fits 10883, 300, 535, 700, 12R) restores proper oil flow. For transport and setup, the 32 transporter cart and 44425 support arm bars (with 44725 ring collar assemblies) keep the machine stable and mobile.

Reaming

A wobbly reamer cone usually just needs the 47155/36277 reamer cone pin for the 341 reamer or the 46585 reamer knob.
